Winter is slowly approaching us and the weather is being chillier and colder every day. So, here are 3 healthy and delicious drink recipes to help keep your kids warm and content:
Peppermint hot chocolate
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of skimmed milk (you can use any milk of choice).
- ½ a cup of water.
- 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder.
- 1 drop of peppermint extract.
- 1 ½ teaspoon of honey (adjust to taste).
Instructions:
- Heat the milk and water on medium heat before adding the cocoa powder, peppermint extract and honey.
- Stir everything together till well combined before turning the heat off.
- Pour the drink into a mug and add some marshmallows or whipped cream on top before Serving.
- Enjoy!
Pumpkin Spice Milk
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree.
- 1 tablespoon of honey.
- ½ a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- ½ a teaspoon of cinnamon.
- 1/4 a teaspoon of nutmeg.
- 1/8 a teaspoon of cloves.
- 1/8 a teaspoon of allspice.
- 1/8 teaspoon of dried ginger.
- 1 cup of skimmed milk (you can use any milk of choice).
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, add the pumpkin puree, honey, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, and ginger. Mix everything together until smooth.
- Heat the milk on medium heat before adding the pumpkin spice mixture and stirring carefully.
- Once everything is well combined and the milk starts boiling, turn the heat off and pour the drink into a mug.
- Sprinkle some cinnamon on top before serving.
- Enjoy!
Mixed berries green tea
Ingredients:
- 1 green tea bag.
- ¼ a cup of frozen or fresh mixed berries.
- 1 teaspoon of honey.
- 1 cup of boiling water.
Instructions:
- Place the mixed berries on the bottom of a mug before adding the honey and tea bag.
- Pour in the boiling water and let the tea steep for 3 minutes before removing the tea bag and draining the berries.
- Serve the tea in a see-through glass mug and Enjoy!!
