The competition was held for the first time in 1994 with the main objective to inculcate interest in India and Indian culture among successive generations of youth in Egypt and thereby promote stronger people-to-people ties.
The Embassy of India will organize a prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the painting competition after its completion. A 3-member Jury will be constituted by the MACIC to select winners under different categories for each Governorate.
