An explosion in a Shia mosque in Afghanistan's northern province of Kunduz earlier killed at least 46 people and injured 143 more.
According to a source in a local hospital, a bomb in a Shia mosque in Kandahar, Afghanistan, killed at least 25 people and injured at least 20 others on Friday.
An eyewitness earlier in the day stated that at least 7 inpiduals were killed as a result of the explosion.

The explosion was reportedly staged by a suicide attacker, with several fatalities and injuries recorded.
According to sources, the incident occurred at the Imam Bargah mosque. The mosque, with a capacity of 4,000 worshipers, is one of Kandahar's largest mosques.
There was no immediate admission of guilt.
