At least 22 people have died and 14 more are missing after heavy rain caused flooding and landslides in South Korea.

The rains caused landslides and flooded one of the dams in the country, raising the levels of danger and warning in the country, and the readiness of the emergency and rescue forces.

During this, the government announced that it had so far 14 people whom it had considered missing, because no place had been found for them yet, at a time when the authorities had ordered the evacuation of thousands.

South Korea's Ministry of Interior and Safety stated that as of 09:00 GMT, 4,763 people had been evacuated across the country, after a dam flooded Saturday morning in North Chungcheong Province after it exceeded its capacity.
