Two Pakistani police officers were killed, and four others, including a civilian, were injured after unidentified gunmen opened fire on a police vehicle in the Tank area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, located in northwestern Pakistan.
According to Pakistan's Samaa TV on Thursday, the attack occurred while the police vehicle was conducting a routine patrol in the area.
The gunmen's assault resulted in the deaths of two officers, injuries to three others, and the wounding of a passerby.
In response, Pakistani authorities cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the attackers. As of yet, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
