Two people were killed and 35 others injured on Monday morning when their bus overturned after colliding with a truck in the Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh state, India, a police official reported.
Shivpuri rural police station in-charge Vikas Yadav said the bus was carrying students, all artists from Narmadapuram Division, who were on their way to Agar town from Gwalior after performing 'Laxman by Night' as part of their Fanfaci by Night program.
He noted that the accident happened at around 5 am near a factory on the outskirts of Shivpuri.
At first glance, it appears that the speeding truck collided with the bus from its side after one of the truck's tires suddenly exploded and the driver lost control of the wheels, according to the official.
The police explained that the dead are artist Aman and bus driver Karan Yadav, adding that their ages have not been confirmed yet.
