On Saturday morning, two people died and three others went missing following a massive blast in Taiyuan, capital of north China's Shanxi Province.
The blast took place in a workshop of Taiyuan Xing'an Chemical Plant at 8:36 a.m. Saturday, according to the municipal government's information office. The cause of the blast is under investigation.
Last week, 21 Miners had been trapped inside a coal mine in Xinjinag, China, as the mine was flooded by water. Only 8 miners were taken out by the rescue workers, while others were still trapped inside it.
Rescuers were trying to reach the miners trapped by the underground flood in the region of China, a state news agency reported.
The Xinhua News Agency said that Fengyuan coal mine in Hutubi County in the northwest of the country flooded at around 6:10 p.m. local time, adding that staff were carrying out upgrading works at the site when disaster struck.
