The first El Clásico of the 2025/2026 season between Real Madrid and Barcelona saw unprecedented demand, with tickets selling out in less than five minutes during the initial sales phase for non-season ticket holders.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the official club website experienced heavy traffic as fans rushed to secure their seats, leaving thousands on waiting lists with wait times exceeding an hour.
Despite high ticket prices and the match timing, fan enthusiasm remained strong. Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is expected to host over 80,000 spectators on Sunday, October 26, for the tenth round of La Liga.
Ticket prices announced by Real Madrid ranged from 135 euros for the cheapest seats in the fourth tier to 465 euros for premium side seats, while VIP seats starting at 990 euros sold out before midday.
Non-season ticket holders were given priority purchase with a 20% discount. Tickets will later be available to premium "Madridista" members on Monday, October 20, before going on general sale on October 21, though only a very limited number of seats are expected to remain.
