Pakistani security forces killed at least 15 militants during two separate operations in southwestern Pakistan, the military said.
According to a statement from the Pakistan Army, the first operation was carried out in the Harnai area of Balochistan following intelligence reports about the presence of armed militants.
Security forces raided a suspected hideout in the area, triggering heavy clashes that resulted in the deaths of 12 militants, the statement said.
A second operation took place in the Basima area of Balochistan after troops detected the presence of militants in the region.
During an exchange of fire, three additional militants were killed. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the scene, according to the military.
Authorities said the operations are part of ongoing efforts to combat militant activity in Balochistan, a region that has long faced security challenges and insurgent violence.
