Twelve people were injured in a shooting at a bar in Toronto, Canada, on Friday night, while the motive of the suspect—who remains at large—has not yet been clarified, according to the police.
The injured individuals received medical care after the shooting, which took place in the eastern part of the city, Canada's largest, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).
Toronto police stated early Saturday that they were searching for three male suspects in connection with the shooting. In a post on X, the police confirmed that the injuries were not life-threatening and noted that six of the victims had suffered gunshot wounds.
The police added that the victims of the Friday night shooting ranged in age from their twenties to their mid-fifties.
"Toronto Police are utilizing all available resources to locate and arrest those responsible," the statement continued.
Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow expressed deep concern over the incident, emphasizing that the police had deployed all "necessary resources" to address the situation.
