Libyan sources revealed that 113 of tribe leaders are heading to Egypt, to meet President Abduel Fattah El Sisi, and discuss latest developments in Libya as well as prospects of Egyptian contribution in protecting the war-torn country from the Turkish invasion.

The news came as the French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, has called for an immediate ceasefire in Libya, and expressed concern about the current tense situation in the country.

His call came in a telephone conversation with the leader of Al-Wefaq government in Tripoli Fayez Al-Sarraj, who has earlier facilitated the Turkish intervention in his country via two agreements he signed, in last November, with the Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan.

In a statement, the government of Al-Wefaq said that during the call, the French foreign minister expressed "his country's concern about the current tense situation, stressing that France's efforts are aimed at achieving stability in war-torn country, and that the interests of the Libyans and their neighbors and Europe lie in the security and stability of the war-torn country."

Le Drian also called for an immediate ceasefire that would allow a return to the political track through the efforts of the United Nations and its central role, and he made clear that Italy and France agree on this approach, and stressed his country's rejection of foreign intervention in war-torn country of all kinds."

Few days ago, French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday condemned the historical crimes of Turkey in Libya.

During a press conference, Macron said: “We did not provide military support for the Libyan army commander, Field Marshal Khalifa Hafter,” noting that Libya had become a field of proxy wars.

Macron said that Turkey is the largest interferer in the war-torn country and does not honor any commitment it made at the Berlin conference, as it continues to send mercenaries to support Al-Wefaq government led by Al-Sarraj.
