CBE Raises Reserves to EGP 454.3 Bln

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) increased its reserves to record about  EGP 454.327 billion at the end of March 2024, compared to EGP 371.328 billion, month-over-month.

The Central Bank's total capital stabilized at EGP 21.6 billion during February and March.

Bank balances rose to EGP 832.9 billion at the end of the Q1, compared to EGP 524.4 billion at the end of February of the same year.

The Central Bank’s balances with the IMF declined slightly during March, recording EGP 12.88 billion, compared to EGP 12.93 billion.

The assets of the CBE rose to EGP 5.55 trillion, by the end of March 2023, compared to EGP 5.18 trillion last February.
