Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro arrived in Kuwait on an official visit, during which he will hold official talks with Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The Venezuelan President, his wife, and the accompanying delegation were received, at the airport, by the Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.
Maduro is accompanied by Venezuelan ministers and officials in areas including foreign affairs, agriculture, communications, tourism, and transportation.
It is worth mentioning that, the Venezuelan government announced, on Monday, the first confirmed case of monkeypox, for a man who entered the country through its main airport near Caracas after arriving from Madrid.
"Contacts with the infected person were being traced," Health Minister Magali Gutierrez tweeted.
"He was immediately isolated, tests were conducted and samples were taken, giving a positive result," the minister added.
