Researchers at the Italian Institute of Technology developed a robot entitled "HyQReal" in the form of a small dog to support people in emergencies.

In a video, the small robot appeared pulling a three- tonne plane for more than thirty meters. HyQReal is 1.33 meter long, 90 cm high, and weighs 130 kilograms.

The four-legged robot is equipped with a 48-volt battery. This battery generates power for four hydraulic electric motors, thus the robot will be able to move its legs, such as a real dog.

"The long-term goal of the project is to create the hardware, software and algorithms for robust quadruped vehicles for rough terrain that can be tailored to a variety of applications, such as disaster response, agriculture, decommissioning, and inspection," the researchers said according to Mirror, a UK newspaper.
