Sisi Receives High-Level Emirati Delegation in Cairo

On Tuesday, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received an Emirati high-ranking delegation headed by National Security Adviser Tahnoun bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, in Cairo to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries.

During the meeting, Sisi said that Egypt is looking forward to strengthening ties with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and exploring further cooperation prospects in a way that contributes to achieving both countries' interests.

The meeting, held at the presidential headquarters in New Alamein City, tackled means to promote the Egyptian-Emirati cooperation, particularly in the economic and trade sector, according to a statement released by presidential spokesman Bassam Rady.

El-Sisi and Al-Nahyan also reviewed efforts of reinforcing the Egyptian-Emirati investments in Egypt in various fields, the statement added.

The Emirati adviser hailed the "attractive" investment climate in Egypt in light of the comprehensive development process the country is witnessing under the leadership of President El-Sisi, which he said provides "unprecedented" opportunities for the UAE and foreign investments in the Middle East and Africa.

He also expressed his country's keenness to strengthen strategic cooperation with Egypt at various levels.

During the meeting, Al-Nahyan conveyed to El-Sisi the greetings of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

President El-Sisi asked to convey his greetings to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, praising the "strong" relations between Egypt and the UAE, the statement pointed out.
