Omar Samra Goodwill Ambassador of Nepal 2020

Embassy of Nepal in Cairo honored Mr. Omar Samra, the first Egyptian national to climb the Mount Everest in Nepal.

This was in line with the embassy’s tourism promotion program to encourage people visiting the country under the theme of “Visit Nepal 2020 in different cities of Egypt”.

Samra was honored as “2020 goodwill ambassador of Nepal".

He thanked the Embassy for the great honor received as well as advising the people to visit Nepal and enjoy the country’s nature, culture and adventure.

On his part, H.E. Mr. Jhabindra Prasad Aryal, the ambassador of Nepal to the Arab Republic of Egypt thanked Samra for his great role as a special guest in the program.

Moreover, he highlighted the popular destinations that people can visit in the country like the natural bounties; especially the spectacular Himalayas, and wildlife reserves.

It’s remarkable that Samra is the first Egyptian to climb the highest mountains of the all seven continents.

He ended the seven summits' challenge by 31 May 2013.
