South Korean military sources reported today, Sunday, that several artillery shells fired by the North Korean army recently fell beyond the Northern Limit Line in the Yellow Sea.

The South Korean news agency Yonhap relayed the source's information, stating that most of the North Korean shells landed in the buffer maritime zone, with some falling in the waters approximately seven kilometers from the Northern Limit Line.

This development follows North Korea's live-fire drills conducted on Saturday, marking the second consecutive day of such exercises.

Approximately 60 shells were launched from the western coast, landing in the buffer zone above the Northern Limit Line.

These artillery firings by North Korea have raised concerns in the region, given the proximity of the shells to the maritime boundary.

The drills come amidst heightened tensions on the Korean Peninsula and increasing international scrutiny over North Korea's military activities.

The situation remains closely monitored by South Korea and international observers, as the region grapples with the implications of these military exercises.

The international community, particularly neighboring countries, are on alert for any further developments that could escalate tensions in the already volatile region.
