Kazakhstan Honors Egyptian Tourism and Antiquities Minister For His Efforts in Enhancing Bilateral Ties

On Tuesday, Egypt's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Issa, was bestowed with the distinguished 'Advocate' award by the President of Kazakhstan. 

The Kazakh Ambassador to Cairo, Mr. Kairat Lama Sharif, presented the award as a recognition of the Egyptian Minister's substantial efforts in enhancing the bilateral ties between Egypt and Kazakhstan, particularly within the domains of tourism and antiquities.

The award also acknowledges the ministry's relentless dedication over the years to the restoration of Al-Zahir Baybars Mosque, a project completed and launched in June of this year.

In his acceptance speech, Issa expressed his sincere gratitude for the honor and emphasized the deep-rooted relationship between Egypt and Kazakhstan. 

He pointed out that Kazakhstan ranks among the key source markets for Egyptian tourism, a fact highlighted by the recent surge in Kazakh tourists visiting Egypt over the previous seven months.

Issa also highlighted the importance of Al-Zahir Baybars Mosque as a significant cultural attraction for Kazakh tourists, following its grand reopening in June.

Furthermore, he applauded the vigorous marketing and promotional campaigns undertaken by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion in Kazakhstan, aimed at enhancing the visibility of Egypt as a prime tourist destination.

In regard to the upcoming relocation to the new administrative capital, the Minister described this as a new dawn for sophisticated governmental operations. 

He underscored the responsibility of all employees to adapt to this evolution and meet the demands of their roles, stating that this transformation represents a monumental leap in administrative efficiency according to international and technological standards, consequently enhancing the quality and productivity of the ministry's workforce.

Expressing his contentment, the Kazakh Ambassador to Cairo, shared his delight in awarding the 'Advocate' medal to the Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, under the directive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

He noted that this prestigious award represents the highest honor in Kazakhstan, granted to individuals who have contributed significantly to the advancement of cooperation between their home countries and Kazakhstan.
