Palestinian Health Ministry announced on Wednesday that 253 people including 66 children and 39 women were killed, and 1948 were wounded, as a result of the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

After 11 days of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the state of calm was restored in the Strip on Friday, after a ceasefire truce between Israel and Hamas was reached at the hour set by Egypt, following brokering the agreement.

Calm prevailed throughout Gaza during the early hours of this morning, there are no raids, Israeli artillery shelling, or any rockets fired from the Palestinian factions towards Tel Aviv.

Yesterday, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call from the US counterpart and exchanged views on developments in regional issues of common interest, as well as bilateral cooperation relations between Egypt and the United States.

They tackled developments of the Palestinian issue and ways to revive the peace process in the wake of recent developments, in addition to supporting the ceasefire that was reached between the Palestinian and Israeli parties with Egyptian mediation and full US support, as well as international efforts aimed at reconstructing Gaza and providing urgent humanitarian aid to the Palestinians
