The former head of the research pision of the Israeli Military Intelligence, Eldad Shavit, considered that the possibility of resorting to a military solution with Iran is small and that Tehran will try hard to reach an agreement with world powers in the Vienna talks.

Shavit added that he is not convinced that there is progress in the Vienna negotiations that European countries are conducting with Iran, despite the goodwill of the Iranians to reach an agreement.

Shavit said in an exclusive interview with " i24news", an Israeli satellite channel,   that there is information that Israel is considering a military option, and the statements of officials have been monitored in this regard.

But he went on to say that he believes that Israel does not yet possess the ability to attack Iran, so it is currently building this capacity to be completely ready in case it decides to implement any military decision.

Shavit stressed that the statements made by Israel's officials regarding the military attack are just to draw the attention of world powers.

The Israeli army is expanding its preparations and this will take a lot of time, and these statements are tantamount to pressure on the West and the international system, which seems to be skeptical in the first place about this choice or this idea, said Shavit.

And yesterday, Sunday, Israeli President Isaac Herzog announced that if the international community did not take the "necessary steps" to thwart the Iranian nuclear project, Israel would be forced to defend itself.
