The release date for the second season of the USA Network/SYFY series “Chucky“ has finally been revealed.

The anticipated sophomore season of the show will drop on Wednesday, October 5 at 9 p.m.

Don Mancini, the creator of the original Child’s Play franchise, had also served as the creator of the series.

It featured Alex Vincent as Andy, the original child tormented by the doll in the first movie, Christine Elise McCarthy as Andy’s foster sister, Brad Dourif as Chucky, Fiona Dourif as Nica Pierce, and Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany Valentine, Chucky’s Bride.

The series also starred Teo Briones, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Björgvin Arnarson, Devon Sawa, Lexa Doig, Barbara Alyn Woods, and others.

It revolved around a sculpture artist teenager (Zackary Arthur), who is bullied and sort of lost after the recent death of his mother. He finds and buys Chucky at a yard sale, leading to chaos in his idyllic American town as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets.

Channel Zero creator Nick Antosca serves as an executive producer on the series.

As for the cast, season two can expect to feature a lot of the same faces, with Tilly, Fiona and Brad Dourif, Zackary Arthur, Björgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, and Barbara Alyn Woods all returning for more child’s play.

Devon Sawa is also set to return despite being killed off in the first season.
