The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) appointed Greek referee Anastasios Sidiropoulos to officiate Zamalek vs. Pyramids match in matchweek 28 of the Egyptian League.

The match will take place on Monday for the 21:00 CLT, with both clubs having no option except winning in order to resume the race for the Egyptian League title.

According to the Egyptian FA pages on the social media platforms, the Greek referee will run the match upon the request of Pyramids, who requested EFA to appoint a foreign referee for the game.

It is worth mentioning that the White Knights secured a 1-0 hard-fought win over Future in match week 27 thanks to El Winsh's powerful header. On the other hand, Ramadan Sobhi's goal handed Pyramids a 1-0 win of the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) in the same match week.

Zamalek are now leading the table with 63 points ahead of Pyramids, who sit second with 59 points. The Egyptian League title holders managed to beat Pyramids in the first half of the League 3-2.
