Zoom to Develop E-mail Service in 2021

Zoom company has begun developing a web email service and might offer a version of the product to some customers next year, as well as the firm is looking into building a calendar app, after Zoom Video Communications has had an astonishing rise in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the News reportes, that the new additions aim to compete with the two giants “Google” and “Microsoft”, which provide both services.

Meanwhile, specialists in the technology world explained that the company is looking for other competitive markets to maintain its viability and expand its profits.” Although, these products are still in their early development stages and may not even be brought to the market, Zoom is expected to start offering them in the first quarter of 2021, potentially as preview versions.

Noteworthy, the tech company reported that more than 300 million are using the Zoom application daily, explaining that the number of users increased 50% within three weeks. From firms, to politicians, schools, and organizations, millions around the world, who work from homes, after imposing a worldwide lockdown, use the application to communicate together.

Earlier, the company indicated that it is in the process of updating the cryptographic properties in its application, to overcome security concerns, amid a big jump in the number of users.

Zoom is an American communications tech company headquartered in California. It was founded by Eric, a Chinese-American businessman, in 2011.
