Zamalek's president Mortada Mansour has mourned on Saturday the death of former EFA's spokesman Azmy Megahed, who passed away earlier today.
In a statement, Mansour and members of Zamalek's board of director have sent condolences to the the White Knights' former volleyball star, who has died after contracting coronavirus.
Earlier, Amir Azmy had announced that his father's health condition deteriorated after he tested positive for coronavirus.
Azmy was on of the volleyball's stars in Zamalek and Egypt's national team as he won the best African player award in 1974.
Months ago, he had announced that he intends to run for the Zamalek's presidential elections.
