Dr. Zahi Hawass, an Egyptian archaeologist and former Minister of Antiquities, revealed the rights of Egyptian women in the Pharaonic era.
Hawass explained that the woman was “the housewife that brings up geniuses.”
He added that ancient Egyptian woman works medico, judge, ruler, and queen, and she has all rights such as porce and the right to inheritance.
Hawass revealed that the ancient Egyptian housewife was also concerned with the family.
The pharaonic environment was fertile, and the ancient Egyptian mother was the one who gave birth and raised the genius Egyptian engineer.
He pointed out that women were important in the life of the pharaoh and he could not be a king without her.
Hawass also indicated that some women allowed the presence of a girlfriend for the husband, the pharaohs had "concubines".
Hawass added that polygamy in ancient Egypt was very few and in rare cases, noting that the ancient Egyptians were wise and knew the value of women in raising children.
