Chairman of Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, and Chargé d'Affaires of Chinese Embassy in Yemen, Shao Zheng discussed, on Monday, bilateral relations and promising aspirations to expand them and push them to broader horizons in various fields.
During the meeting, they discussed developments in the Yemeni situation, and the course of regional and international efforts to revive the political process, as well as the Houthi militias' threats to maritime shipping and freedom of global trade.
Chairman of Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished bilateral relations between both countries, and the firm Chinese position alongside the Yemeni people and their political leadership at various stages.
Moreover, Al-Alimi stressed the commitment of the Council and the government to a comprehensive and just peace approach based on the terms of reference agreed upon locally, regionally and internationally, in particular Resolution No. 2216.
