The Chinese Wuhan announced today that it discovered the presence of COVID-19 in newly imported frozen food from Brazil and Vietnam.
According to an issued statement by Wuhan Municipal Health Commission, 3 positive Covid-19 samples were detected in imported frozen beef from Brazil and Basa fish from Vietnam.
The statement added that the scanned packages were quarantined. Moreover, all workers who were in direct contact with the packages are undergoing COVID-19 tests and the tests are negative now.
A few months ago, Wuhan reported the existence of positive COVID-19 samples in imported Brazilian beef and imported frozen shrimps from Saudi Arabia.
