On Tuesday, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities organized a special tour for the wives of 20 foreign ambassadors in Egypt to Mogamaa Al-Adyan (or The Complex of Religions) as part of the country’s plan to promote the tourism sector.

The tour, in which the wife of the Egyptian foreign minister and a number of his assistants participated, aimed to promote Egyptian tourist destinations and shed light on the ancient Egyptian civilization and tourist sites.

The delegation was accompanied by Mohamed Abdel Raouf, an official at the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, on a tour inside the Hanging Church, the Church of Abu Serga Church, one of the points of the path of the Holy Family, Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque, the Coptic Museum, and Ben Ezra Synagogue.

The group expressed their pleasure with the experience, which enabled them to get acquainted with the ancient Egyptian civilization in old Cairo, especially in light of the latest archaeological discoveries made there.
