A state of anticipation is prevailing after Donald Trump won the US presidential election for the second time. Trump’s position has not changed in terms of his support for Israel and his promises to end the conflicts and bring peace to Lebanon.
This time, he promised to end the war in Ukraine. Will it actually end?
His position on Israel is known, and Netanyahu was the first to congratulate him and described his return as the greatest return in human history. Will Palestine see more massacres? Will the international community stand in support of these victims?
What will happen in Ukraine? Will the war really end as he said?
What will happen in Lebanon when he promised to stop the war? Will he make Israel withdraw from Lebanon?
I believe that Donald Trump is a man of economic decision-making. The economic policy of the Donald Trump administration in his first term was characterized by tax cuts for individuals and companies, and attempts to abolish the American health care law Obama Care, trade protection, restricting immigration, and lifting restrictions on the energy and finance sectors.
I believe that these policies are also continuing during his current term. Is the American economy preparing for a wave of major changes, and a repetition of the US president’s economic policies from his first term, on a larger scale... implementing larger and more comprehensive customs tariffs on imports, while targeting tax cuts on a limited basis?
Trump's policy in his first term was marked by significant gains, but they were specific to the American people, but at the international level, we have not seen solutions to the complicated problems in the Middle East or in the world.
The global position must be pressing until the massacres end and the violation of human humanity in Gaza ends. We will see in the next four years what the situation is.
Amid all these challenges, Egypt remains strong despite the conflicts taking place around it and despite global pressures, but it is the only country that is firmly steadfast in its positions and in its leadership of the region.
The state of anticipation will remain until we know what will happen and whether there will be surprises or whether the situation will remain as it is.
