Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), announced on Tuesday that an employee of the organization, along with her six-month-old child, husband, and two siblings, were killed in Gaza, as reported by Reuters.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus shared the tragic news on the social media platform "X," along with a picture of the victim, identified as Dima Al Haj.

He expressed shock and grief, stating, "My colleagues and I are in shock: we have lost one of our own in Gaza today."

He further mentioned that several other family members who were sheltering in the same house were also killed but did not provide additional details regarding the circumstances of the family's deaths or those responsible.

The situation in Gaza remains tense, with ongoing conflicts and violence affecting the lives of innocent civilians.

The loss of a WHO employee and her family is a tragic reminder of the human toll of these events.
