Dr. Margaret Harris, spokesperson for the World Health Organization, confirmed today, Monday, that there is no solution to the current crisis in the Middle East except by establishing peace.
Harris said, "The health sector in Gaza is extremely constrained, but it continues thanks to the tireless work of humanitarian and health care workers in the sector who are keen to work despite the difficult conditions and the continued bombing," adding that there are about 15,000 people who need to be evacuated from Gaza to receive the necessary treatment.
She explained that the chances of recovery for patients and the injured in Gaza are very slim, noting that every person in Gaza has suffered from great psychological trauma due to the state of terror resulting from the relentless bombing and their grief over the loss of their loved ones.
