WhatsApp Voice Calls to Get Big New Feature

WhatsApp plans to add a new “audio chat” option for its voice calling capabilities, specifically for groups.

The platform introduced a new app for Windows, as the tech giant claims that the new Windows desktop app not only loads faster but is also built with an interface that is familiar to WhatsApp and Windows users.

Through the new app, Windows users can host group video calls with up to eight people and audio calls with up to 32 people.

Earlier in March, media reports revealed that WhatsApp will launch two new features exclusive to iOS users, including a tool that lets users extract text from images while the other will enable them to set voice notes as a status update.
