A widespread general strike has paralyzed several provinces in the West Bank today, in response to the massacres committed by the Israeli army in Gaza on Saturday, according to Palestinian media reports.
In Bethlehem, the Factional Coordination Committee declared a full strike on Sunday to condemn the massacres in Khan Younis and Al-Shati Camp that resulted in dozens of Palestinian deaths and numerous injuries.
The strike covers all aspects of life, except for hospitals, health directorates, pharmaceutical factories, medical centers, pharmacies, bakeries, and fuel stations.
The streets of Tulkarm also observed the strike in protest against the Israeli massacres in Gaza on Saturday.
In Jenin, a strike was declared to denounce the massacres in Khan Younis and Al-Shati Camp. Additionally, loudspeakers in Qalqilya mosques announced a full strike in mourning for the victims of the Khan Younis massacre.
The Palestinian Bar Association suspended work in all civil, military, and administrative courts, including settlement courts and civil and military prosecutor's offices across all provinces.
Exceptions were made for urgent requests, detention extension requests, and bail release requests as a mark of protest against the ongoing massacres against the Palestinian people.
The Israeli army conducted a massacre on Saturday afternoon in the Mawasi area west of Khan Younis (in the southern Gaza Strip), resulting in the deaths of dozens of Palestinians and a significant number of injuries.
According to the final tally announced by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza on Saturday evening, the death toll from the massacre committed by the Israeli army in the Mawasi area has risen to 90 Palestinians, with 300 others injured.
Half of the victims were children and women, and there are critical and serious injuries reported.
