Netflix finally revealed Monday the first teaser trailer of the highly-anticipated Addams Family Spinoff series “Wednesday”.
The eight-episode series stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, and Gwendoline Christie as Larissa Weems.
It also features Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday Addams in the ’90s Addams Family franchise, playing a new major character in the live-action series.
The footage featured Ortega braiding her hair in the shadows before stepping into the light, looking as mean as someone can be. As soon as she makes her appearance, Thing, the disembodied hand, walks to her shoulder like a pet.
Then, both snap their fingers two times, nodding to the iconic The Addams Family song.

The series is focused on Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. It is described as a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery.
It is written by “Smallville” creators Al Gough and Miles Millar and directed by Tim Burton.
Burton executive produces the project alongside Gough and Millar, who also serve as showrunners.
Executive producers include Kayla Alpert, Steve Stark, as well as Andrew Mittman for 1.21, Kevin Miserocchi, Jonathan Glickman for Glickmania, and Gail Berman.
"Wednesday" will be released on Netflix this Fall.
