Production is set to begin on Vin Diesel's “Riddick: Furya,” the fourth installment of the “Riddick” franchise, on August 26.

The pic, which follows 2000’s “Pitch Black,” 2004’s “The Chronicles of Riddick” and 2013’s “Riddick,” will be shot in Germany, Spain, and the U.K.

“Riddick: Furya” sees Richard B. Riddick finally return to his homeworld, a place he barely remembers and one he fears might be left in ruins. However, he finds other Furyans fighting for their existence against a new monster — and some of these Furyans are more like Riddick than he could have ever imagined.

The project reunites Diesel with writer and director David Twohy (“The Fugitive”). Diesel will produce under his One Race Films banner alongside Samantha Vincent. Thorsten Schumacher for Rocket Science and Lars Sylvest for Thank You Studios will also produce alongside Joe Neurauter.

Twohy, who wrote and directed the previous three “Riddick” films, just completed writing the financial thriller “Big Dogs,” to be directed by Ridley Scott.

Meanwhile, Diesel has a hefty slate of action projects slated in his future, including the “Fast and Furious” finale, Mattel’s “Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots” film, and Universal’s “Kojak.”

Last month, the “Fast and Furious” star shared on Instagram that all his upcoming movies were “fighting for position” to begin shooting with him, but now it seems “Riddick” has won the race to the movie first.

The actor has been teasing “Riddick: Furya” on social media in the past weeks, sharing photos from the previous movies and gym selfies as he trains to embody the anti-hero once again.

Rocket Science represents the international sales rights and CAA Media Finance represents the North American rights.
