National Musuem of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) received, over the last two days, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister (PM) and Serbian Trade Minister and their accompanying delegation.
They were received by Ahmed Ghoneim, Managing Executive Director of NMEC, who gave them an overview about the unique location of the museum, its history as well as its cultural and societal role.
Accompanied by Marian Adel, curator of the museum, the visitors toured the Central Exhibition Halls, Egyptian Textiles Hall, and the Royal Mummies Hall.
She gave him a full explanation of the museum's holdings and the sequence of the different historical eras of the displayed artefacts, from prehistoric times to the current era.
On his part, Borrell expressed his admiration for the significant artefacts, especially those in the main hall.
Moreover, Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim was keen to present a catalogue of royal mummies to both officials.
