On Sunday, London welcomed 2023 with touching and emotional tributes to Queen Elizabeth II who passed away in September 2022 at the age of 96.
Portraits of the late monarch were displayed in the sky by fireworks and drones as thousands of English people gathered on the banks of the Thames to say a final goodbye to 2022 and welcome willingly the new year.
It was the first time since 2019 that people gathered nearby the London Eye to attend the show.
About 12,000 fireworks took over the sky in the sold-out show and created several messages to represent the themes of love and unity.
Alongside showing the portraits of the late Queen, some of her words were featured.
