"Venom 3" Finds Its Director in Kelly Marcel

British screenwriter Kelly Marcel is set to direct Marvel and Sony Pictures’ "Venom 3", starring Tom Hardy. 

She had previously served as a writer and producer for the first two Venom movies.

Marcel will direct the project from a screenplay based on a story by her and Hardy.

Producers include Marcel, Hardy, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.

Plot details are unknown other than Hardy is reprising the lethal protector Venom. 

It is also unknown who will reunite with Hardy from previous movies or whether any characters from the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters will join.

The first movies had arrived from two different directors, with Ruben Fleischer directing the first and Andy Serkis helming the latest pic. 

However, Marcel has been there from the start of Venom’s journey was being mapped out.
