US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin called on Syrian opposition groups to commit to protecting civilians and complying with international humanitarian rules.
The American Al-Hurra channel reported on Monday that the US Secretary of Defense discussed by phone with his Turkish counterpart, Yaşar Guler, the developments in Syria and the two countries’ obligations there.
Austin indicated that they agreed to continue working together to ensure that stability of Syria is not threatened, to eliminate the terrorist organization ISIS, and to ensure the security of their forces.
