The Long Beach Police Department explained - in a statement reported by ABC News on Sunday - that the suspect fled before police officers arrived at the scene, adding that no information is currently available about the perpetrator or his motives.
The police indicated that four injured people were taken to hospitals in critical condition, while the other three injured people were being treated for non-serious injuries.
