Republican US presidential nominee Donald Trump called for a swift conclusion to the war in Gaza and the return of hostages, emphasizing the need for better public relations from Israel. This statement came a day before his scheduled meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a phone interview with Fox News, Trump outlined his expectations for Netanyahu, stating, “Finish up and get it done quickly… because they are getting decimated with this publicity.” He also reiterated that the Hamas attacks on October 7 and the subsequent war in Gaza would not have occurred if he had been president at the time.

“You know, October 7 would never have happened if I was president. There was no chance. Iran was broke. They had no money for Hamas or Hezbollah. It just wouldn’t have happened. Zero chance,” Trump asserted.

He added that the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and the ongoing conflict there would also have been prevented under his administration.
