The United States of America called for an end to the fighting in Nyala, South Darfur, Sudan.
A statement on the official website of the US State Department said that the United States calls on the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces to stop the renewed fighting in Nyala, South Darfur, and other populated areas, which have left causalities and destruction.
"We are particularly concerned by reports of indiscriminate shelling by both the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces, which has caused civilian casualties," the statement read.
" Civilians must not pay the price for the warring parties' unreasonable actions. Both sides must comply with their obligations under international humanitarian law, including those relating to the protection of civilians," the State Department added.
