To bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities, the United States and its allies have committed over $1 billion to enhance Ukraine’s air defense systems.

This announcement, made by leaders of Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, the United States, and Ukraine, was released by the White House press service.

The coalition of more than 50 countries continues to provide substantial security assistance to Ukraine, focusing on the Immediate Action on Air Defense Initiative.

Partners have collectively pledged over $1 billion in support of Ukraine's air defense.

The statement also highlighted NATO's efforts to assist Ukraine in developing a NATO-interoperable integrated air and missile defense architecture.

Speaking at an event marking NATO's 75th anniversary, which also served as a prelude to the NATO summit, US President Joe Biden announced that the US and its allies are beginning the delivery of additional strategic and tactical air defense systems to Ukraine, including Patriot and NASAMS systems.
