Ukraine’s national power company announced a nationwide power cut on Monday, Ukraine’s “Strana.ua” website reported.

The site added that the power supply will be completely cut off tomorrow Monday from 06:00 a.m. (04:00 a.m. GMT) until 10:00 p.m. (08:00 GMT), in all regions of Ukraine, due to damage to power facilities.

The state of air alert had been declared throughout Ukraine, and local media reported hearing sporadic explosions in Kiev, Zakarpatya, Khmelinsky, Ivano Frankivsk, Lvovov, Venetsia, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk and other regions, where the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy announced emergency power cuts.

The website reported that Russian forces carried out intensive attacks on the stationing sites of elements of the Ukrainian army and military equipment, as well as infrastructure, energy facilities, defense industry complexes and military communications, in response to attacks deliberately carried out by Ukrainian forces against civilians in Russian territory.
