The British Foreign Office has welcomed the release of three hostages held by Hamas under the ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement between Israel and the group, expressing gratitude to the United States, Egypt, and Qatar.

In a statement, the ministry said, "We welcome the release of three hostages in Gaza, including British citizen Emily Damari, and thank Egypt, Qatar, and the United States for their support in ending the horrific ordeal endured by these individuals and their families."

It added, "Our thoughts are also with those still awaiting reunification with their loved ones, including the families of hostages linked to the UK: Eli Sharabi, Oded Lifshitz, and Avinatan Or."

The ministry emphasized the need for the full implementation of the agreement, the return of all hostages, and the unhindered flow of aid into Gaza. It also stated that the ceasefire should pave the way for a credible path towards a two-state solution, where Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side in peace.
