Uber Adjusts Operating Hours Amid Curfew

A spokesperson for Uber Egypt revealed that the company's working hours will be adjusted after imposing a curfew nationwide to counter the spread of the new coronavirus.

He explained in an inquiry that the new working hours will be from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm, an hour before the curfew takes effect.

Uber added that it was decided to stop the activation of any new partners at the present time starting from today, until further notice.

The company stressed that its decision comes in line with the precautionary measures applied by the Egyptian state to preserve the safety of citizen and prevent the spread of the deadly virus.

Moreover, the ride-sharing company said in a message to its users that its participatory transportation service will be suspended from 6 pm until 6 am daily, for a period of 14 days with the possibility of extension, depending on the upcoming situation.
