In an effort to assist those affected and displaced by the conflict in Sudan, the UAE continues to provide humanitarian aid, as reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Recently, three aircraft carrying approximately 52 tons of food supplies were sent to Chad and Port Sudan, while an aid ship carrying 1,000 tons of food and other supplies arrived in Suakin Port in east Sudan.

The UAE has allocated $50 million towards supporting the humanitarian response for those affected by the conflict in Sudan and Sudanese refugees in Chad. So far, the UAE has provided 1,572 tons of food and medical supplies through 18 aid aircraft and one ship.

Additionally, Sudanese residents were exempted from fines for violating the Federal Decree-Law on Entry and Residence of Foreigners since April 15, and the UAE authorities are following up on their affairs to ensure they are well-settled until their return to their country.
