The National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research has announced that two earthquakes hit cities on Egypt's Mediterranean coastline (Marsa Matrouh and Alexandria), according to Sputnik News agency.
A 3.8 magnitude quack hit Northern Matrouh on Tuesday at 23:24 PM (CLT), and another 4.2 magnitude one hit Northern Alexandria on Wednesday at 00:18 AM (CLT).
The institute said that it did receive any earthquake notifications from citizens.
It is worth mentioning that, last Thursday, a 3.0 magnitude earthquake hit Egypt.
The earthquake’s epicenter occurred east of Cairo, 13 km southeast of the administrative capital.
