Production has begun on Jordanian actor Eyad Nassar's upcoming TV series “Selah Rahem”.
The cast also includes Yosra El Lozy, Asma Abulyazeid, Ali Eltayeb, Mohamed Gomaa, and more.
The series consists of 15 episodes and hails from scriptwriter Ahmad Abu Zaid and director Tamer Nady.
"Selah Rahem" is set to debut during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.
Nassar participated last Ramadan with the TV series "Taaghere Gaw".
It also starred Mervat Amin, Sherine, Menna Shalaby, Ahmed Malek, and others.
Mariam Abou Ouf helmed the series from a screenplay by Muna al-Sheemi.
"Taaghere Gaw" follows the many crises Sharifa (played by Shalaby) faces including her mother's (Sherine) addiction to tranquilizers and alcohol as well as her attempted suicide.
Born on November 9, 1971, Nassar paved his way into stardom when he was introduced to Egypt through his first role in a TV drama.
In 2010, he portrayed the character of the Brotherhood leader Hassan El Banna in the series "The Brotherhood", drawing the attention of both fans and entertainment industry professionals.
This was not his first portrayal of historical characters, before Nassar came to Egypt, he had presented various great works in Syrian TV dramas and had already gained a wide range of fans from Egypt.
Now, Nassar is one of the most sought-after actors in Egypt. His other notable TV credits include "Citizen X", and "A Public Secret". Among his film credits: Are "An Hour and a Half", and "Adrenaline".
