Saudi Chairman of General Authority for Entertainment, Turki Al-Sheikh affirmed that he wishes for Al Ahly to win the CAF Champions League title and that Mahmoud Al Khatib, the Red Castle’s Chairman, holds the cup.
Al-Sheikh posted on his official Facebook page: “From New York to my beloveds and my family, the dear people of Egypt, I am very happy that the CAF Champions League final is to be held in my beloved Egypt and the two final parties are the oldest and two greatest teams in Africa.”
He added: “Ofcourse, I wish for Al Ahly to be crowned champion, and Coach Bebo to hold the cup high,”
“If Zamalek wins it’s fine, for they are a great team and we will congratulate them in a sporting spirit, the most important is for the cup to be in Egypt.” he continued.
He concluded: “I congratulate my brother Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Sports, for all the successes in Egyptian sports under the leadership of my father, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, may God protect him.”
Al Ahly is set to clash with its counterpart Zamalek Friday evening, November 27, in the CAF Champions League final.
